Bullet Journal Period Tracker
The Menstrual Journal: A Journey Through Your Cycle
I’ve created, illustrated, and designed a journal about the menstrual cycle and how it influences our emotions, our energy, and ultimately, how we experience life as women.
Here’s the thing—I’ve always journaled to understand myself better. Over time, I started noticing patterns that aligned with my cycle. I saw how my hormones and emotions were guiding me, like the seasons of nature—spring, summer, autumn, and winter. That realization felt so powerful. I searched for a book like this, and when I couldn’t find it, I wrote it myself.
So, I created this Period Tracker Bullet Journal. There is a theory part—understanding the “why” behind each season—and a journaling part, giving you space to track your own journey. I even included pages from my personal period diary, where I documented three full cycles. It’s a personal project, but I believe it’s for all of us.
This is your personal guide to understanding the rhythm of your cycle, helping you observe and navigate your emotions over the next three cycles. Your hormonal levels shift on a monthly basis, following a predictable pattern. Some days, you feel on top of the world—energized, creative, magnetic. Other days, you feel consumed by anxiety, doubt, or exhaustion. It can feel like an emotional rollercoaster, but the good news is that this pattern is not random. Once you start tracking your cycle, you begin to understand the reasons behind these shifts, and that awareness changes everything.
I designed and illustrated this bujo period tracker to be more than just a period tracker. It’s a tool for self-awareness, emotional balance, and personal growth. It’s a mix of structure and freedom—pages to track your period start and symptoms, bullet journal layouts for mood tracking, and space to explore your thoughts. This is not just a logbook; it’s an invitation to get to know yourself better.
Your cycle is not just about the presence or absence of your period. It’s the master regulator of your hormones—hormones that influence your personality, appearance, energy, and emotions. When you start paying attention, you’ll begin to see how each phase colors your perception. The days when you feel unstoppable? They have their place. The days when you need to retreat and rest? Those are just as important.
This Bullet Journal Period Tracker guides you through the four phases of your cycle:
The quiet introspection of menstruation
The rising energy of the follicular phase
The peak confidence of ovulation
The deep, sometimes turbulent emotions of the luteal phase
It helps you recognize when you’re at your most creative, when you need to slow down, and when you’re ready to take on the world. You’ll track not just your period log but also your mood, symptoms, and emotional patterns, so you can recognize the signals your body is giving you.
Inside the Period Tracker Bujo, you’ll find:
A detailed explanation of what happens in your body during a menstrual cycle, from a scientific perspective
Insights into the key hormones at play, how they fluctuate, and how they influence your emotions and energy levels
A breakdown of each season—menstrual, follicular, ovulatory, and luteal—so you can understand the unique strengths and challenges of each phase
Intentions and reflective questions tailored to each phase, helping you connect deeper with yourself
Hand-drawn, colorful pages designed for journaling, making space for self-expression and tracking your thoughts
A different color for each day, allowing you to visually relate to your shifting moods and energy levels
Daily pages that indicate your current phase, hormonal state, and where you are in your cycle
Space to journal for three full cycles, giving you an opportunity to observe patterns over time
A guided experience for the first three months, where I share my personal journal and insights to help you along the way
This isn’t just about science and structure. It’s about feeling seen and understood in your own body.
Your menstrual cycle isn’t something to endure—it’s something to work with. Instead of feeling like your emotions are pulling you in different directions, this menstrual cycle diary will help you see the patterns. You don’t have to feel lost in mood swings, exhaustion, or unexpected anxiety. You’ll start to anticipate, understand, and embrace each phase as it comes.
This journal is for you if you’ve ever felt like your emotions take you by surprise. If you’ve ever wanted to make sense of your mood swings, your energy levels, or that sudden need to withdraw from the world. It’s for you if you’re ready to stop fighting your cycle and start working with it.
Your body is biologically designed to create life, but even when that’s not your focus, your cycle still holds deep wisdom. Each month, your body prepares, then lets go—a process of renewal and transformation. The more you understand it, the more you understand yourself.
I want this journal to reach as many women as possible—not because it’s “my book,” but because it’s a conversation we need to have. Your cycle is not something to be ignored or worked against; it’s something to embrace. This journal is an offering, a guide, a space for you to document your journey.
Let this journal be your companion. It’s time to embrace your cycle, trust your body, and step into deeper self-awareness.
