The Menstrual Cycle Journal I sell on my shop is not just a product. It is a deeply personal journal, born from time, research, intuition, and many hours of handmade work. In a world where AI generated designs are becoming more and more common, I want to clearly say this: there is absolutely no AI involved in this Bullet journal or Period tracker. Every single line, color, and illustration comes from my hands, my body, and my experience.
I personally create all the designs and illustrations from scratch. I work using Procreate, which is a pixel based program, not a vector one. This is very important to me because it means drawing digitally feels almost the same as drawing on a piece of paper. Every line I draw stays exactly where it is. Once a color is applied, it cannot be magically changed later. There is no “easy fix.” This makes the process slower, more intentional, and much closer to traditional illustration. This is exactly how I want my journal to be made.
All the illustrations inside this Bullet journal come from my inner world. I always use myself as a model. I take pictures of my body, my posture, my gestures. I create collages, I observe, and then I draw directly on top of them. This makes the Period tracker honest and embodied. It is not a generic representation of a body. It is a lived one. If you are curious about this process, you can see parts of it on some of my Instagram reels, where I share behind the scenes moments of the creation.
One example that perfectly represents the amount of work behind this journal is the colored monthly pages. Each month of the menstrual cycle has its own color. That means every single page is unique. No copy paste, no automatic recoloring. Each page is manually adjusted, balanced, and refined. This alone takes many, many hours of work. It is slow, detailed, and repetitive, but in the best way. This is how I believe a meaningful Bullet journal should be created.
And then there is the theory part, something we don’t talk about enough. This Period tracker is not only visual. It is based on extensive research. I spent a long time studying the menstrual cycle, hormonal phases, emotional patterns, physical symptoms, and cyclical energy. I read books, articles, scientific resources, and personal testimonies. I tested layouts, tracking systems, and prompts on myself before deciding what truly belonged in this journal.
This is why this Menstrual Cycle Journal is not just a planner or a notebook. It is a Bullet journal designed to help you understand your cycle, reconnect with your body, and observe yourself without judgment. It is a Period tracker made with care, intention, and respect for cyclical living.
When you hold this journal in your hands, you are holding something fully human. Fully handmade. Fully imperfect in the most beautiful way. And that, for me, makes all the difference.
