During a recent visit from a friend in Fuerteventura, I had the opportunity to photograph her wearing our “There Are No Problems, Only Chances” graphic tee. The graphic tee is part of our designer t-shirt collection, created with the aim of combining a clean aesthetic with a meaningful message.

The graphic tee she wore is in a deep burgundy colour, chosen for its versatility and warmth. The designer t-shirt features bold lettering that communicates the phrase clearly, making it suitable for casual wear while still delivering an impactful statement. Seeing it worn in a real setting, outside of product photography or market displays, is always valuable. It allows me to see how the graphic tee fits, moves, and pairs with everyday outfits.

The photograph was taken in natural light, with the ocean nearby and a relaxed atmosphere. The designer t-shirt’s colour and typography stood out well against the backdrop, which was exactly what I intended when I first worked on the design. A graphic tee is not just about the words printed on it, but also how those words are presented and integrated into someone’s personal style.

This particular graphic tee was originally developed from a handwritten phrase in my notes. The process included selecting a typeface, adjusting proportions, and matching it with a colour palette that would work across different skin tones and environments. Burgundy became the final choice for its depth and year-round appeal.

Having a friend wear this designer t-shirt during her visit was an effective reminder that clothing design extends beyond the studio or the shop. A graphic tee only reaches its full potential when it is worn and becomes part of daily life. Observing how it looks in motion, how it photographs, and how the message interacts with the wearer’s personality provides useful feedback for future designs.

In this case, the graphic tee worked exactly as intended: comfortable fit, strong visual presence, and a message that resonates without being overcomplicated. The designer t-shirt served its function — a simple piece that communicates a clear idea and integrates seamlessly into a casual wardrobe.

The visit, the setting, and the photograph combined to show the graphic tee in context, which is ultimately the best way to understand how a design performs outside the page or screen.
